SWELL originated as a personal blog, BigBadBoat - or [B3] - back in 2008. It was published regularly through 2011, with a few stories posted after that time. Since 2012, most of the site's activity was centered around Twitter and it's weekly online newspaper, now published as Swell Powerboat Week. While we do not expect to add new posts to the original blog, we maintain it here not only as a past record but also because it contains a lot of useful articles and information, profiles of boating events and locations, history and safety tips.
